Your adventure begins in Cairo, where you will have the opportunity to cross a few items of your bucket list: the Egyptian Museum, the Great Pyramids, and the Great Sphinx. You will also visit Saqqara, the desert home to 14 ancient pyramids.

Next, take a short flight to Luxor where you will see all that this magnificent city has to offer. From here you will board your luxurious cruise and travel like Cleopatra and Mark Anthony down the Nile River to Aswan. While on the cruise, you will have the opportunity to visit a variety of tombs and temples all with your private guide and egyptologist. After the cruise, take a day trip to the infamous Abu Simbel.

  • ✈ Arrive in Cairo, the capital of Egypt. You will be greeted upon your arrival by your representative and transferred to your luxury Hotel.

  • Begin your first full day in Egypt by visiting the Great Pyramids of Giza, the last surviving monument of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Afterwards, venture into the ancient Egyptian capital, Memphis, and come face to face with the statues of Egyptian kings of old. Here you will see the likeness of great men such as Ptah, Ramses II, Sekhmet, and Merneptahm. Step further back into Ancient Egypt as you travel to Saqqara and see the Bent Pyramid, the Step Pyramid, and the Red Pyramid. Saqqara is the home of 14 ancient pyramids, each boasting of unique qualities and designs. After a full day of exploring the desert, you will retire to your beautiful hotel.

  • Once you have finished your breakfast, your guide will meet you with your private transport to take you for a walk through the Egyptian Museum, where you will have time to view incredible treasures including the golden mask of King Tutankhamen, the boy king. After your museum tour, you will travel to Old Cairo and see the city’s oldest temples, synagogues, and mosques. This is the home of the famous Hanging Church and the traditionally claimed home of the holy family Mary, Jesus, and Joseph when they fled to Egypt. After another long day, you will be transported back to your hotel.

  • ✈ After an early morning checkout, you will transfer to the airport for a short, flight to Luxor. This was once the ancient city Thebes, capital of Ancient Egypt.

    Escorted by your private guide, you will begin the touring today at the Luxor museum, which boasts of an outstanding collection of artifacts which tell the story of ancient Thebes from the Old Kingdom up to the Islamic Period. Enjoy horse riding in the old market, and get a taste of Egyptian food at one of the local restaurants.

  • Today you will visit the Valley of the Queens, where the Ancient Egyptian queens were laid to rest with their sons. The incredibly vibrant paintings will display the desert’s almost magical ability to preserve the past.

    Stop for lunch at a local restaurant before moving on to the Valley of the Nobles. Here archeologists are still discovering burial sites of Egyptian nobles. You will learn how life and burials differed between the elite royalty and the upper and middle class citizens of ancient Egypt.

  • Today you will begin your luxury cruise aboard the Sonesta St George, one of the Nile’s most luxurious cruise ships.

    After lunch, enjoy your visit to Luxor Temple and Karnak Temple the largest temple in the world. Both of these incredible sites date back to age of the Middle Kingdom. The temples are connected by the brilliant Avenue of the Sphinx, on of the prides of Luxor. After a long day of travel and touring, return to your ship for dinner and relaxing on the sundeck.

  • Start your day with breakfast aboard the ship. Your private tour today begins with a visit to the Valley of the Kings accompanied by your private guide and egyptologist. This is one of the most exciting highlights of your tour, as you will see with your own eyes the vibrant colors painted thousands of years ago on the tomb walls. Your tour will include a visit to the famous tomb of King Tutankhamen where you will have the opportunity to see the remains of the king himself.

    After this, you will visit the Valley of the Workers, which depicts the details of the ancient Egyptian middle-class daily life and how their humble graves differed from the exquisite tombs of the kings.

    Your next stop will be at the Mortuary Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, nestled at the foot of the dessert hills. The white sandstone temple strikes a sharp contrast against the rust colored cliff towering above it. This magnificent temple is a must see an an iconic place to take a picture as your tour comes to a close.

    On your way back to the ship, you will make a quick stop for a picture with the Colossi of Memnon. As you begin sailing to Aswan, you will pass through the Esna Lock, a unique experience best viewed from the sundeck of you ship.

  • After breakfast, enjoy a horse drawn carriage ride to Edfu Temple, the best-preserved temple in Egypt, which dates back to 237 BC. This is the only temple where you can see the sacred boat of the god, and it is also the most fully intact temple we have today.

    Return to your ship by carriage and have a delicious lunch as you begin sailing to Kom Ombo Temple. Spend the afternoon relaxing in the lounge, taking advantage of the ships amenities, or resting in your room. The ship also offers a tea time on the sundeck, when you can have time getting to know your guide and ask all your burning questions about Egypt.

    After docking at Kom Ombo, visit the double temple of Horus and Sobek. This temple features early documentation about the ancient Egyptian calendar and medicine. Inside the museum you will also see spectacularly preserved mummified crocodiles.

    Back to the cruise to enjoy a traditional Egyptian meal and the Galabia party, where everyone will be dressed as an Egyptian. Feel free to attend the party without traditional attire, you can still participate in the games!

  • After breakfast on the ship, your guide will take you by private transportation to the High Dam. Then visit Philae Temple by boat. Finally, see the Unfinished Obelisk at the granite quarry that was used by ancient Egyptians since the age of the Old Kingdom. Return to the ship for lunch. After your meal, you will enjoy a Felucca sailboat ride then back to the ship for the Nubian show and dinner.

  • ✈ After an early breakfast, check out of the cruise, and meet your private transportation to the airport to fly to Abu Simbel. (If no flight is available, you will meet your guide in the lobby for a private drive to the temple) Abu Simbel was built by Ramses the Great in 1280 BC.

    Following your tour, your guide will take you back to the airport to return to Cairo.

  • After breakfast, you will meet your guide and driver for a two-hour private drive to Alexandria, the bride of the Mediterranean. On your tour, you will visit The Modern Library of Alexandria which was founded by Ptolemy I and nearly destroyed by Julius Caesar.

    After this you will see the Catacombs of Rome, an underground burial cite used by Christians and Jews for centuries. Also on the tour are Pompey’s pillars and the Amphitheater, both from the time of Roman rule in Egypt.

    Before returning to Cairo, you’ll have be privileged to indulge in the most delicious seafood you’ll ever taste, while overlooking the shining Mediterranean Sea.
